I’ve always thought of 27 as a landmark year for me. I’ve always thought I’ll have washboard abs, stand 6’2”(okay 5’9” na lang), and be the dashing charmer by this age. I turned 27 yesterday and I’m still me. No magical transformation or mind-blowing event or revolutionary physical changes (except a few millimeters on the waist, probably) came to be. It was a normal day. It was the same as the day before or two days before. It is the same day through out the year, that I feel loved and cared for by friends and family. For that, I feel humbled and blessed. To those who remembered, thank you very much. I may not be able to stand 6’2” but washboard abs, there’s always 28 for that.
The sky was one of the clearest we’ve had on new year’s eve. It was the first one that we’ve shared it with 4 other families. There’s good food and wine. Tons of stories told. Songs were sung. It was happy.365 more days (leap year kasi) of these and it’s definitely going to be an epic 2012. Happy new year!

I’m sure you’ve seen the numerous fireworks last night. Up close, I bet it looked fantastic. For us, seeing it at a distance with other fireworks all over the metro, it looked magical.

I was driving near McKinley when I saw this MMDA truck/van/commuter bus pass by. It’s a common sight in Manila. It’s just funny how the MMDA (one of Manila’s traffic authorities) violates the very code it implements.
I’ll try my best to capture common but insane Manila Traffic scenes while I drive around the metro.
